Other - 1930s Cushion Case Longchamp chronograph | Enamel Dial | Breguet Numbers
A watch like this is enough to make any collector’s heart skip a beat. This cushion-shaped monopusher chronograph is a true museum-worthy treasure, an exceptional piece for the discerning connoisseur.
In remarkable mint condition, it features a flawless enamel dial with elegant Breguet numerals and heat-blued Breguet hands, framed by a striking red tachymeter scale. Housed in an unpolished 18kt gold case, it is one of the finest examples we’ve had the pleasure to offer in recent memory.
The finely crafted three-piece case was produced by Monnier & Co. of La Chaux-de-Fonds, as confirmed by the distinctive 132 hammerhead hallmark stamped inside the caseback.
Regarding the brand, tracing its origins has proven challenging due to the limited information available and the very few surviving examples. It bears no relation to the French leather goods company, which was established in the 1950s, approximately two decades after this timepiece was produced.
