Omega - 1938 Omega Medicus Salmon Dial | Fagiolino | Ref. CK 2015 | Cal. 23.4SC
When condition is everything, few watches can rival this one. At its heart is Omega’s very first center-seconds movement, the Caliber 23.4SC, a breakthrough designed to make pulse readings easier. This innovation earned it the nickname “Medicus,” the doctor’s watch, and secured its place in medical and horological history alike.
Its Art Deco styling only deepens the charm, while collectors will also recognize the affectionate Italian nickname “Fagiolino” (little bean), a playful reference to its uniquely shaped lugs.
And then there’s the real star: that radiant deep pink-salmon dial. Vertically brushed, vibrant, and in astonishingly pristine condition, likely the best example ever to surface. Paired with its unpolished, well-preserved case and original flat crown, this watch is more than a timekeeper. It’s a museum-worthy treasure.
CONDITION
This watch is in overall outstanding, almost near mint condition, the case is unpolished and sharp on the edges. There are very small and few hairlines on the case sides, probably made by sitting on a box for decades, and from the attempts to open the caseback, the dial is simply stunning, bright, and free of mayor marks or aging. All radium is complete and present.
The watch was just fully serviced.
The amplitude is 345°, the Rate -10s/d and Bear Error 1.7ms.
