Omega - 1939 Omega Marine Standard Copper Dial 14k Rose Gold

1939 Omega Marine Standard 14k Rose Gold. The Marine was Omega’s first waterproof patented model. This beautiful example sports a Copper dial that has likely been refinished. Featuring a T17 movement, this was an upgraded from the previous 15 Jewel movement, the T17 features a 60 hour power reserve, not surpassed by Omega until 2006 with the Cal 8500. This watch retains the original crystal. The crown has been replaced. Watch is in working order, the crown is a bit tough to wind and pull out, but it sets time correctly. Considering only the serial is on the caseback, and we do not have original papers we are not 100% sure on the Ref for this watch. After doing some research there were quite a few variations of the Marine with different refs and we have not seen one exactly like this, especially in Rose Gold. Our most educated guess is ref 3683 or 3635.
