Patek Philippe - 1940s Patek Philippe ref. 591 Chronograph w Extract
A superb and very rare 1940s Patek Philippe Chronograph “Fagiolino" ref. 591 in yellow gold, of which 40 were made and 19 are known to exist in this metal, in absolutely wonderful presumably unpolished condition and its dial fantastic with raised enamel clear and sharp, powered by the famous Valjoux cal. 23.
This larger for the era 34mm chronograph, wears prouder on the wrist due to its contoured square pushers and big crown.
Its mid case is both polished and brushed retaining sharp lines after all this time. Its lugs characteristically match its pushers which for the time, a bold design choice.
This reference is a true collector's grail and very seldom does one come up for sale. This example comes with its extract from the Patek Philippe archives and paired on a gold PP&co signed buckle.
Running well and keeping accurate time.
