A stunning and rare 1950s Cartier Tank Cornice in 18K yellow gold, absolutely untouched with sharp bevels, a beautiful pearly white “France” dial, JLC Duoplan caliber, bec d’aigle lugs as well as tack Edmond Jaeger and French assay marks.

This is a time capsule of French watchmaking before the proliferation of mass production schemes. Not only is this a museum worthy watch but among Cartier connoisseurs and collectors, it demands significant attention not only for the models inherent rarity but its condition. This watch sat untouched for decades and it shows.

Powered by the famous Jaeger LeCoultre Duoplan movement, this watch is absolutely correct through and through. Period matching case and movement numbers, untouched dial, and hallmarks are all in order. Buckle and strap generic as many of these were sold alone.
