Juvenia - 1950s Juvenia Arithmo ¨Fab.Suisse Dial¨ | Unpolished | 36mm
The Juvenia Arithmo, unveiled in 1945, is a remarkable fusion of practicality and design, featuring a slide rule scale paired with a rotating bezel. This ingenious setup allows the wearer to perform a variety of calculations, a concept echoed in the Breitling Chronomat. Once you master the slide rule system, the possibilities are vast—handling complex equations for everything from engineering to trigonometry with ease.
Finding these pieces is a challenge in itself, and discovering one in such exceptional condition is even rarer. This example stands out with its fabulous, unpolished, and remarkably sharp state. The dial and rotating bezels are in stunning shape, showing no noticeable degradation, while the domed plexiglass, known as the 'Refrascope,' remains intact and crack-free. This particular version is the highly sought-after no-lume, radium-free variant. Adding to its charm, the dial features the text 'Fab. Suisse,' indicating it was originally intended for the French market.
