1954 Omega Seamaster Automatic Gold Cap (Ref. 2767-1SC) Cal. 354 "Formerly Awarded to TWA Employee"

This ref. 2767-1SC is a fantastic example of how well-rounded the Seamaster is, helping to make it the perfect all-day, everyday timepiece. It’s powered by the respected cal. 354 automatic "bumper" movement, which is fitted into an elegant design that is subtle, timeless, and well-balanced. With its 35mm yellow gold-capped case and long, broad lugs, the piece is both relevant and a suitable option in any environment, especially thanks to its classic dial layout that is both stylish and recognizable.

What better way to show appreciation to an employee for their many dedicated years of service than a luxury timepiece? This specific Omega Seamaster was awarded with "gratitude and esteem" to a former TWA employee. Trans World Airlines or "TWA" operated from 1930 to 2001 and was founded by Howard Hughes, known as one of the great American businessmen, movie producers, and socialites.

CASE & BRACELET

The exceptionally well-preserved yellow gold-cap case exhibits almost no signs of use and retains the original geometry in crisp condition, showing full chamfers down the lugs with minimal evidence of previous polishing present. The case retains its original Omega-signed "flat foot" crown. The case back shows signs of gentle polishing and retains an engraving that reads "Solter Edwin, with gratitude and esteem for services tendered, TWA 1955". The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap with an Omega-signed gold-colored buckle.

DIAL & HANDS

The simple and symmetrical original silver satin dial remains extremely brilliant and in near-perfect condition, with no only elements of age being invisible to the naked eye. The radium-lume tipped markers feature a charming tan patina with minimal, yet expected degradation present. The original radium lume gold dauphine hands have aged a shade darker than the dial and show no degradation when inspected under UV light.
