T he Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox ref. E855 is one of the most desirable alarm references produced from in the 1960s. The double-crown feature allows for winding and setting the time, as well as setting the alarm. The top crown sets the alarm complication of the timepiece.
The watch features an excellent 37mm case, which is oversized for the 1960s era of its creation. The case sits nicely on the wrist and has a classic and timeless appearance while remaining relevant by today's wristwatch sizing standards. This piece would make a great addition to an existing collection and be a great and classic timepiece as a stand-alone piece.

The strong case retains excellent dimensions throughout, showing gentle signs of honest use and minimal evidence of previous polishing. The case retains the original JLC-signed twin crowns located at the 2 and 4 o'clock positions. The case back retains the factory engraved serial in fully visible and crisp condition. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The beautiful and original silver dial has achieved a lovely vintage aesthetic and is in great overall condition, featuring subtle aging and warmth that enhances the watch. The tritium lume plots exhibit nominal degradation and all remain intact when inspected under UV light and have achieved a grey patina. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and display minor degradation in the lume at the tips of the hands which is very common for this reference due to the style of hands used.
