1960s Triton Spirotechnique Diver W/ Hinged Top Lugs

Though largely unknown outside professional diving circles, the Triton remains one of the most original and purpose-driven dive watches of its era. Its obscurity and technical charm have earned it cult status among collectors, and in 2023, the design was reimagined and revived in a modern reissue — further cementing its place in the pantheon of serious dive instruments.

This particular watch — the first we’ve ever had the pleasure to offer, is a completely original and particularly well-preserved example from the early 1960s. A wearable representation of times past, when design, ingenuity, and utility constituted the watch industry and birthed the icons or avante-garde creations we celebrate today.

The large winding crown located at 12 o'clock on the case remains original to the watch. The original bezel remains in impressive vintage condition, showing honest signs of light wear with no cracks present, though when inspected under UV light the "2" of the "20" marker is missing most of its lume while the rest of the markers display no degradation. The case back retains its factory medallion at the center in crisp overall condition, with light tool marks present around the edges. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc tropic rubber strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The original glossy black dial remains in a wonderful vintage condition that is seemingly flawless to the naked eye, though the dial does present some minor elements of age and marks that are only visible under direct light and magnification. Under UV light inspection, the lumed markers around the dial exhibit consistent degradation but all retain a layer of the original luminous material. The original gilt hands have developed a deep green coloration to the lume, when inspected under UV light the hour hand exhibits some superficial cracking in the lume and remains stable while the minute and second hands exhibit no degradation. The red date wheel adds a subtle touch of color and vintage flair to complete the watch.
