CASE & BRACELET
The impressive straight lug case is in very crisp condition, retaining strong brushing on the case sides and excellent dimensions and angles throughout. The case appears to have been minimally polished in the past and exhibits only minor signs of previous use. The "dot over 90" tachymeter bezel exhibits some honest wear and a subtle dark grey coloration. The crown is an early service unit and the pump pushers remain original to the watch. The case back features an engraving of initials that reads "G. M W. Jr" with the factory markings remaining intact as well. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The original and charming matte black "pie-pan" applied logo dial is in very well-preserved condition, exhibiting subtle elements of age and no notable damage. The tritium lume plots all remain intact and feature a dark yellow patina, under UV light inspection there is minor degradation in the lume at the bottom of the plots where they meet the step, which is very common for early Speedmasters. The original tritium hour and minute hands have taken on a dark patina and exhibit subtle cracking when inspected under UV light. The chronograph hand is original and was professionally restored with tritium to match the other hands.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch is keeping time, but the service history is unknown. A movement service can be provided upon request.
