Audemars Piguet - 1970’s Audemars Piguet ref. 5393BC White Gold, Retro TV Shaped, Lapis Lazuli Stone Dial

Up for grabs is a vintage Audemars Piguet in 18k white gold

The reference is 5393 BC with manual wind movement

The serial number should date the watch somewhere in mid 1970’s.

The case of the watch reminds us of a 1950’s TV screen shape and measures 34x26mm excluding the crown.

The dial is made out of lapis lazuli stone with dramatic patterns and blue to black color hues. No cracks or chips. The dial is signed with white print and time is displayed with non-luminous hands.

The caseback is unusual for AP with 4 screws instead of typical “snap” back found on similar watches. The serial number and hallmark on caseback are very crisp and legible.

The bezel and bracelet are finished in sort of a “bark” finish. The clasp is signed AP together with other hallmarks. The overall length of this watch, including the case, is 18.5cm and will fit most normal sized wrists. There is about .25″ adjustment on clasp, depending in which position you lock it.

No box or papers. No documented service history. The watch winds smoothly and runs at about +10 seconds with ~210 amplitude.

Dimensions: 34x26
