1971 Rolex Datejust (Ref. 1601) Silver "Sigma" Dial
A Sigma dial is a Rolex dial named for the letters printed at the bottom of the dial at the 6 o'clock position. Most Rolex dials are commonly marked with “T Swiss T,” under the 6 o'clock marker, however, a Sigma dial is marked “σ T SWISS T σ.” This signifies the use of gold components within the dial.

The Rolex 6251H Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces retains 22 links that show normal stretch for the style and age and will fit up to a 7 3/4-inch wrist.
DIAL & HANDS
The original "pie-pan" silver sunburst "Sigma" dial is in virtually perfect vintage condition, showing no age or damage. The tritium lume plots have achieved a lovely creamy patina, under UV light inspection, the 2 o'clock plot exhibits minor lum loss, with the rest of the plots showing no degradation. The original tritium hands have aged to a darker patina than the dial lume and show no degradation under UV light inspection. The metallic date wheel is original with "open" 6's and 9's.
