Tudor - 1979 Tudor 7019/3 Jumbo Date Day Champagne Dial Gold and Steel

For sale is a very good condition and as found 38mm stainless steel and 14 karat yellow gold “Jumbo” Tudor Oyster Prince Date-Day. The 7019/3 is a 914,XXX serial, circa 1979 production, and is a watch only.
The Date Day features a brushed steel case with a fluted yellow gold bezel and is mounted on an unworn, quick-release Toffee colored calfskin leather strap. The Tudor retains its original champagne sunburst dial with applied gold index hour markers featuring black enamel center filling, gold hands, and Date & Day window apertures at 3 and 12 o’clock. The tritium lume plots on the dial remain intact, having acquired a rich golden cream-colored patina, while the hands no longer contain their lume. The movement used in the 7019/3 is the Tudor Caliber 1895, which is a modified version of the A. Schild S.A 1882 / 83.

Condition:
The case shows thick and even lugs with crisp original chamfers and factory brush lines remaining with light surface level wear . The yellow gold bezel flutes remain sharp, while the watch’s gold components have begun to develop a warm, rosy / red colored oxidation with age. The dial is free of any noticeable imperfections, while the hour and minute hands have lost their lume. The movement winds smoothly and is running decently, but has an unknown last service date.

Overall, the Tudor is in very good vintage condition and remains as found, with the buyer ultimately deciding whether the hands should remain as is or receive a color-matched lume treatment to match the lume plots.
