IWC Schaffhausen - 1985 IWC Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar 9240 Complete Set

Fully complete IWC Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar in 18k solid ft. silky gold bracelet.

There is so much to enjoy here! A mega reference with the perpetual set through the crown only, Kurt Klaus caliber 3758.

The dial is in great overall condition, only a couple of tiny marks to mention. The moon disc at 12 really pops, aventurine with the yellow gold is a killer combo. Dial lume plots appear to have been reapplied by IWC at some point in its history (I have seen this a number of times by IWC servicing).

The case and bracelet show surface wear from use, being near 40 years old it should be expected however still in good vintage condition. The watch serial engraving is crisp on the caseback, see pics. The ‘notch’ at 12 used by watchmakers to remove the bezel shows wear from use.

The bracelet shows almost no stretch and is long, super silky and easier to wear than the strap model in my opinion. Screw links so easy to resize.

The set has everything with it… from signed guarantee to the infamous wax sealed ‘test tube’ housing extra calendar numerals to keep this thing correct for eternity. Serviced by IWC London in 2020 with the calendar later reset by them in 2022. Running perfectly!l and ready to be enjoyed!
