For sale is a near mint condition 36mm 18 karat yellow gold and stainless steel Rolex Datejust. The 16013 is a 9,617,XXX serial, was originally retailed in December of 1987, and is accompanied by box and papers. 

The Datejust features a brushed steel case with fluted yellow gold bezel, and is mounted on its original steel and gold 62523H-18 Jubilee bracelet, which is stamped with an L claspcode, corresponding to a production date in January 1987. The bracelet is fully linked, containing 22 full size links, and will comfortably fit a 7.75 inch wrist with all of the links installed. The Rolex features a black sunburst dial with applied polished gold index hour markers, gold tritium coated hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The tritium lume plots and hands have acquired an even custard colored patina with age, which beautifully complements the black dial. The movement used in the 16013 is the Rolex Caliber 3035, which is running well. 

Condition: 
The case has been preserved exceptionally well and remains unpolished with strong factory brush lines, crisp bezel flutes, and its original caseback sticker present. The Jubilee bracelet is also unpolished containing virtually no stretch while the coronet on the clasp remains crisp and well defined. The Rolex’s unpolished yellow gold components have aged beautifully, acquiring a light rose gold colored oxidation. Overall the Datejust remains in near mint condition, and is a superb example of a late production Datejust reference 16013, which appears to have been worn sparingly by its original owner.
