Ulysse Nardin - 1990's Ulysse Nardin San Marco 131-77-9 Chillon Castle Limited 35 Pieces
A truly breathtaking Ulysse Nardin, with one of the most vibrant and interesting scenes out there for the San Marco 131-77-9, the Chillon Castle in Switzerland.
The dial is extremely special, gold wiring used to form the shapes with powdered enamel sitting atop the aysemetric gratte textured dial. Finally a layer of transparent ‘fondant’ is applied on top of the enamel, up to the depth of the gold wiring, gold print to finish. The dial is in perfect condition and manufactured by the famed enamel workshop, Donzé Cadrans.
The case is Wonderfull preserved with sharp edges and engravings. Personally I love the stepped lugs with the case measuring 36/7mm. The watch is accompanied by the original 18k yellow gold pin buckle + inner/outer boxset.
A beautiful watch made in a small run of 35, this being 35/35. Personally I look to collect the non navel scenes, this one being of particular interest due to the Swiss connection and the level of detail and color in the scene, I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
