With a diameter of 36mm, reference 18239 was produced between 1989 and 2000. The most useful improvement for this reference was the addition of a double function for rapidly setting the date and day using the crown. This technical advance was made possible by the new calibre 3155, which replaced the calibre 3055 used in the previous generation. Our model has a rare black dial - the majority of production was silvered - with the inscription "Swiss Made" at 6 o'clock. This feature is only found from 1999 onwards and therefore only available for one year, indicating luminescent coating for index and hands, which match perfectly with our model produced in 1999. A dial with this inscription and an earlier production date would indicate that the original dial had been replaced during service.
