Omega - 2017 Omega Seamaster America's Cup Regatta Chrono Ti (Ref. 2269.50.00)

2017 Omega Seamaster America's Cup Regatta Chronograph Titanium (Ref. 2269.50.00) W/ Box, Papers, & Service Receipt

The Speedmaster might be the watch that made Omega a household name (and took it to the moon), but the Seamaster has been around quite a bit longer and has its own incredible legacy worth talking about.

First released in 1948 in celebration of Omega’s centennial anniversary, the Seamaster became a worldwide success and was the brand’s top seller for a long time. Today, it’s the longest-running name in the Omega catalog and still holds a special place in plenty of collectors’ hearts. And while modern Seamasters have taken on a new design language, the soul remains the same.

Case in point, this ref. 2269.50.00 Seamaster, which has traded the dresswatch vibes of those early models while carrying on the stout, toolwatch aesthetic of the Seamaster dive watches of the 60s and 70s. But this one does so with panache, due to its titanium case and the Regatta timer—the 5 dots just below the Omega logo and name at 12 o'clock, which help racers countdown to the start of the race. The latest version of this watch has a digital display, so if you prefer analog, this is a great way to get a modern watch without some of the too-modern touches—and to do so alongside the original box and papers as well.
