Favre Leuba - 70’s Favre Leuba in Sterling Silver
Shown here is a curvaceous sterling silver case Favre Leuba.
The oval “case” comes in at a humble 26x18mm (without crown) while the twisting motifs measure a hefty 38x59mm.
The 59mm measurement could theoretically be used as a “lug to lug” measurement, but on the underside of the swirling silver sections are fixed lugs measuring in at 18mm.
Shown in both soft lighting and direct sunlight the twists and curves of the sterling silver case catch the light beautifully from every angle.
The sterling “case” is curved and drapes wonderfully across the wrist, making it a comfortable wear even at its exaggerated 59mm size.
The black dial appears matte at arms length, but the closer you look the more the “sponge” or “terry cloth” texture becomes visible.
Featuring its original FL logo signed crown, you can see the tiny duck hallmark on the side of the case confirming the Swiss made sterling silver construction.
Also pictured are the “fixed lugs” on the back of the watch, currently holding a pass-through/one piece nylon this piece would also look great fitted with a leather strap, and can be put on one at the request of the buyer.
