A. Lange & Söhne - A. Lange & Söhne 1815 206. 021 (36mm) - Yellow Gold
A. Lange & Söhne are a German watchmaker founded in 1845. They are known for their ultra high-grade and handcrafted timepieces with relatively low production numbers compared to many Swiss manufacturers. The collecting community is just beginning to appreciate the level of craftsmanship the brand has brought to the table with their own unique design language and we believe their neo-vintage models are especially attractive today.
The 1815 collection by A. Lange & Söhne is named after the birth year of Ferdinand Adolph Lange, a key figure in German watchmaking. Trained in Paris and later instrumental in establishing Glashütte as a horological hub, Lange's legacy shaped the brand’s identity. When his great-grandson revived the company in 1994, the debut lineup included the complex Tourbillon Pour le Mérite. Yet, it was the 1815—launched a year later—that best captured the brand’s dedication to traditional, minimalist design. This 18k yellow gold example is 36mm so it will fit a good variety of wrist sizes. The high-grade movement is manual winding, features display back and 45 hours of power reserve. It has remained in nice condition with light wear. The dial and blued hands are both mint. We love the simplicity of this understated piece and it comes along with its correct Lange gato strap and 18k signed Lange pin buckle.
