Royal Oak

Some might say the best size for a Royal Oak is the 39mm Classic Jumbo size however not all wrists can take such a size on a daily basis. Apart from the Jumbo, there are numerous variants made between 30 and 37mm and the best one seems to be the 36mm. The reference that embodies this size is the 14790 that has been made in stainless steel, two tone and in full gold.

The example offered here is the 14790ST in stainless steel that was sold in 2002. The watch bears the classic black ribbed dial with the AP logo positioned at the 12 o'clock position. The dial is in exceptional condition without any peeling that is very common for these. The lumes have aged to a nice creamy color and are matching the hands.

Case: Very nice condition case that is showing light wear from age. The screws are crisp and engravings on the case back are fully present.
Bracelet/Strap: Very good matching bracelet that is showing only very little stretch from age, 20 links.
Dial: Excellent black Tritium dial not showing any wear or peeling. The lume has aged to an eggshell color and is matching with the hands.
