Audemars Piguet - Audemars Piguet Squelette - Openworked Cal. 2003 - *Unpolished*

Audemars Piguet are best known for the Royal Oak however, the brand produced a wide variety of other models and experimented with dress watch designs such as perpetual calendars and more simple time-only models. They are particularly well known for their haute horology and skeletonization work which began as early as the 1930s.

This "Squelette" example is housed in 18k yellow gold with a well-decorated decagonal case (12 sided). The movement is the cal. 2003 which is even solid (14k) gold - likely for some added rigidity. This piece has remained in stunning vintage condition with a crisp looking case, devoid of any signs of polishing. All of the markings are still deep and clearly visible. The 31mm x 35mm case is ultra-thin at just 3.5mm in height an wears well  for most slim to medium sized wrists. Offered with an original AP strap and 18k AP signed pin buckle this piece is for the discerning collector looking for the perfect conversation starter.
