Other - Benrus GI Military w/ "Luminous 12" Dial

Issued in June of 1969, this Vietnam-era Benrus is a rare variant with a lumed 12 o-clock. This was designed for added legibility in high stress situations and although subtle, adds character to its overall beauty. This example remains in excellent vintage condition with a nicely preserved dial/hands. The signature Benrus dimpled crown is also correct. We love the history these pieces represent and today remain a fantastic relative value compared to other issued watches. The signature and lightweight military green plastic cases are also a unique departure from most of the parkerized steel or black mil watches we come across. If you've been looking for a fun and affordable vintage piece this could be just the ticket!

Dial: Fantastic with all of its tritium plots present and evenly aged to a warm patina.
Hands: Are matching and their lume is stable. Case: Normal signs of use consistent with age. Correct "dimple" crown.
Crystal: There are some light scratches but no cracks. They could always be buffed off but we prefer to leave the history there.
Accessories: NA.

The movement is running well on our timegrapher.
