Tudor - Big Block Chronograph “Solo Dial” - ref 94200

When it comes to sports chronographs, it’s hard to knock the Rolex family tree. We all love the 4 digit Daytona references for good reason and it’s clear as day to see all that same DNA in this model. Here we have a ref. 94200 Tudor Big Block chonograph circa 1979. The acrylic bezel, screw down pushers, crown, subdials and general aesthetic of this watch screams 6263 Daytona. It just has that same undeniably sporty cool factor. This particular example is a “solo dial” meaning the Tudor text is printed alone with no additional text lines underneath. These are quite rare and leaves the dial balanced in a very pleasing way. This reference is powered by the Valjoux Cal. 7750 movement which features a date function and is automatic winding. The watch is paired with a handmade italian saddle leather Good Evening Vintage strap from our friend Matteo Torre in Tuscany.
