Boucheron - Boucheron Carrée 18k Yellow Gold Unique Central Seconds
A square of gold, designed like a piece of architecture.
In the 1970s, Boucheron brought its high-jewelry savoir-faire into watchmaking with the Carrée, a timepiece that balances contrasts: the strict geometry of its case and the soft satin finish of its brushed dial.
What makes this rare model stand out is an unusual detail for the Maison: a central seconds hand. A configuration almost unique among Boucheron’s creations of that era, adding both balance and refinement to the design.
Its proportions (25 x 31 mm) give a discreet elegance on the wrist, while the 18k yellow gold case—untouched and unpolished—retains sharp edges and crisp hallmarks.
Inside beats a hand-wound mechanical movement, specially modified by Boucheron.
A beautifully preserved example, complete with its original 18k gold Boucheron-signed buckle and presentation box.
