Breguet - Breguet Classique Rattrapante 3947
This elegant split-seconds chronograph from the late 1990s–early 2000s embodies Breguet’s classical codes: a 38mm fluted white gold case, straight lugs, and a sapphire display back showcasing the finely finished manual-wind rattrapante movement based on the revered Lemania 2320. The additional pusher at 10 o’clock controls the split-seconds hand, a complication celebrated for its technical refinement and rarity at this level.
Its silvered solid-gold dial is entirely hand-guilloché, combining clous-de-Paris, circular graining, and contrasting textures within the subdials for depth and elegance. Heat-blued Breguet hands, Roman numerals, and the discreet “Rattrapante” script at six complete this harmonious composition. Produced in limited numbers before discontinuation, the 3947 represents one of Breguet’s most sophisticated neo-vintage chronographs, blending movement pedigree with timeless design.
