Breguet - Breguet Classique Tourbillon 3350

The Breguet Ref. 3350 stands as a landmark in modern horology and is widely regarded as the pinnacle of Daniel Roth’s contributions during his time at Breguet. Developed during the final years of Roth’s tenure and produced in extremely limited numbers, the ref. 3350 is one of the most important references and the closing chapter of one of Breguet’s most celebrated modern eras.

Daniel Roth, credited with reviving Breguet’s identity in the 1970s and '80s, reintroduced the maison’s classical DNA—coin-edge cases, guilloché dials, and off-center layouts—while pushing technical boundaries. The Ref. 3350 was one of the first automatic tourbillon wristwatches ever produced, powered by the Caliber 558—a movement developed over three years in collaboration with Nouvelle Lemania. Beyond its technical achievement, the 558 is admired for its elegant construction, meticulous hand-finishing, and harmonious layout, embodying the values of classical high watchmaking. Its importance extends beyond Breguet: Daniel Roth would later use the same ébauche as the foundation for his own independent tourbillons.

This watch in example is from the early A-series, making it rare and produced in very limited numbers during one of the most influential periods in Breguet’s post-war history. It is not only a key reference in the evolution of the modern tourbillon, but also a direct expression of Roth’s enduring legacy.
