Breitling - Chronograph 7660 w/Archive Extract
Breitling has always created tool watches with a specific purpose, mainly for aviators, featuring busy dials with bold colors and contrasting finishes. However, not all Breitling chronographs were designed for pilots. This rare 7660, for instance, was made for timing yachting regattas.
With a colorful bezel design, clear sub-dials, and a steel case with subtle details like sculpted lugs, this watch embodies classic Breitling style with its own personality. While these watches were created for practical use, this specific 1960s vintage chromo remains in excellent vintage condition.
The dial is flawless, displaying vibrant colors without any issues. The case may have been lightly polished at some point but the original beveled edges of the sculpted lugs are still beautifully preserved. The tritium lume on both the dial and hands has aged to a green shade, typical for this reference and the standard lume used in Breitling watches from this period. The multicolored bezel is also as new. Fitted with vintage Tropic strap.
