Other - Caravelle/Bulova World Time w/ 11DP Movement - Rare
A sister company to Bulova, Caravelle produced affordable, yet reliable watches that have developed a strong collector following today. Rather than sourcing movements from Switzerland, they were able to cut costs by producing their movements in Japan. The 11DP is perhaps the best known example and offered a very simple, easy to service and robust solution for their highly-successful line of American timepieces.
Easily our favorite offering is this seldom-seen world time. With a perfectly sized 37mm case and endearing "match tip" style hands (another effort to cut costs at the time), the charm of this piece is topped off with a gorgeous hint of copper in the rotating bezel. Offered on a matching Jean Rousseau strap, this fantastically preserved example is ready for the next adventure.
