Cartier - Cartier Ellipse LM large model ref. 78091
As part of the Louis Cartier Collection, the Ellipse LM (ref. 78091) was created in 1973 alongside with 12 other watches such as the Ceinture, the Baignoire or the Fabergé among others. LM standing for Large Model, the case of this Ellipse, oblong in shape, measures 32mm width for 28mm height. It is 18k solid gold and the watch has all the DNA of the LC Collection such as the enamel dial, roman numerals, the « chemin de fer » chapter ring and sword blued hands.
The dial is a MK2 with no secret signature as it should be. It comes with the original 18k deployante buckle, attached to the watch by a Cartier signed alligator strap.
This watch is THE incarnation of the Cartier’s « elegance intemporelle ». The large case makes it the perfect androgynous wristwatch, elegant for for both women and men.
