Cartier - Cartier Must De Cartier Ronde 'Kuwait Logo' Ref. 1800 1, c.a. 1990's

Kuwait Army

The Cartier Ronde 1800, also known as the Must de Cartier Ronde Ref. 1800, is a vintage timepiece that testaments Cartier's timeless elegance and design sophistication. Introduced in the 1980s, this model is one of the most ‘under the radar’ designs from the maison.

The 33mm dress watch is made of Vermeil, meaning we have here a 925 Sterling Silver case that is gold plated. These ‘Vermeil’ cases are popular for their ‘patina’ that can develop over time.

The watch is quartz powered, something that can be casually worn on a daily basis.

Over to the dial, a beautiful ivory dial adorned with bold black Roman numerals, blue sword-shaped hands, and the discreet Cartier signature at the 10 o’clock position, reflecting the brand's attention to detail. Another detail that has to be mentioned here is the special feature on the dial, the logo of the Kuwait Army positioned at 6 o’clock. In the 1990s the number of watches featuring Middle Eastern logos was pretty low and even lower when it comes to Cartier watches. To date we have only seen one or two hands full of watches from the maison that feature middle eastern logos.

A great watch with historical significance that will be a conversation starter, all this without breaking the bank.
