First released in the 70s, the Santos Carrée was Cartier's attempt to offer an accessible sport watch in both two tone (ref. 2961) and in steel (ref. 2960). At 29mm, the Carrée (square in French), case is perfectly sized to be the perfect blend of elegance and sporty. One might argue that today, more than ever, this model is the Rolex Datejust of Cartier. This stainless example boasts fantastic vintage condition from its dial to case/bracelet. Dial: Excellent preservation with no notable blemishes under magnification.
Bezel: Is very thick with light signs of use.
Hands: Are matching.
Case: Very clean with thick and even lugs. There is some light chipping in the cabochon visible in photography but it isn't distracting and the crown is correct.
Bracelet: Shows nice preservation and will fit approximately a 7 inch wrist.
Crystal: Clear.
Accessories: Authentic Cartier service pouch for storage and travel.
