Cartier - Cartier Santos Galbée 2319 SIHH Limited Edition - Full Set
First released in the 70s, the Santos Carrée was Cartier's attempt to offer an accessible sport watch in both two tone (ref. 2961) and in steel (ref. 2960). At 29mm, the Carrée (square in French), case is perfectly sized to be the perfect blend of elegance and sporty. One might argue that today, more than ever, this model is the Rolex Datejust of Cartier. The Santos Galbée SIHH was released in 2002 in a Limited Edition of 2000 pieces for the SIHH tradeshow in Singapore. Interestingly, it is a unique dial variation which features fully lumed Roman Numeral indices/hand and the only Carrée to feature no date. Between the hidden clasp, slate grey dial with functioning lume and relatively limited production numbers, this is compelling offering from the Santos model line.
This particular example has remained in nice condition with a mint dial and clean looking case/bracelet. The bracelet will fit an approximate 7.25 inch wrist. The set includes inner and outer boxes, warranty papers, booklets and booklet holder. For anyone looking for an interesting and practical daily driver from Cartier this could be just the ticket.
