Santos Galbee

In 1987, the Santos has been revamped and was launched as the Santos Galbée. The watch case lost its boxy looks and became more curved, smoother and with a better fit on the wrist than the original Santos. The Santos is an all time classic and among the favourite Cartiers that come on a bracelet.

We have here a Santos Galbee for ladies, the so-called Mini but its not just a Santos, it is probably the most sought after model of the Santos, it features the beautiful and sought after Burgundy dial that has a glossy lacquer finish. Though this is the stainless steel version of the Santos, it shows a gilt print, correctly marked 'Swiss' at 6 o'clock. The winding crown bears a matching maroon Cabochon.

The watch is overall in an exceptional sharp condition and bears sharp and well defined edges. The bezel shows a few light scuffs that can be easily polished out. Apart from that the watch seems to have not been worn much. The bracelet is tight and long.

The watch comes in a beautiful full set with its original box, booklet and warranty. A very cool piece that will go with all outfits and that will definitively catch some attention, the deep and rich burgundy color, matched with the matte finish if the watch looks spectacular.

Case: Excellent stainless steel case that seems to be unpolished and shows only very minor wear from age. The bezel has some scratches that can be fuffed out. The red enamel in the case back engravings is fully present. The matching Cabochon is undamaged and fully present.
Bracelet/Strap: Excellent matching stainless steel bracelet that doesn’t show any stretch from wear. 19 links. The bracelet is the more uncommon one with 3 lines on the center links.
Dial: Excellent Burgundy lacquer dial with Gold print.
