Ghost Dial

Cartier has, predominantly in the 1980s and 1990s done a dial that we mainly see on Santos models, the brushed grey dial with gold print. The optical effect that this dial has is that the Cartier signature on the dial vanishes depending on the light fall on the dial. A very cool effect that is coveted by Cartier enthusiasts.

We have here a beautiful example of the Santos Ronde from the 1990s that features such a dial. the watch is in steel and gold and is manufactured in 32mm, a size that men embrace when wearing a Cartier.

The watch is overall in excellent condition and free of any major scratches visible to the naked eye. The bracelet is crisp and does not show major wear from age.

The watch is powered by a Quartz movement, hence the case has a super slim appearance. The facetted crown bears the iconic Sapphire Cabochon.

A very cool example that doesn't break the bank and looks great on any outfit.

Case: Excellent Steel and gold case that is very sharp and well defined, showing only very light wear from age. The bezel is very well preserved and showing original finish as well as the sides of the case. Case back engravings fully intact. Sapphire Cabochon is present and intact.
Bracelet/Strap: Excellent matching and tight bracelet showing only very little wear from age, 21 links.
Dial: Excellent grey dial with Gold print.
