Cartier - Cartier Tank Americaine (Small) - Mint/Full Set

The Cartier Tank has achieved iconic status in the world of watch design and, with the exception of a few distinctive variations, has maintained a consistent aesthetic throughout its extensive production history. The first commercially available Tank Normale was introduced in 1919, having been inspired by the treads of the French Renault FT-17 tank used in WW1. Throughout the decades, Tank watches have been documented on the wrists of notable figures from Jackie Kennedy to Andy Warhol. Today, Cartier feels more relevant in the worlds of fashion, music and popular culture than ever before.

Cartier released the Tank Américaine in 1987 in reference to the Tank Cintrée which was first introduced commercially in 1919. Both are elongated shapes with curved cases that are designed to be contoured to the wrist and anyone who experiences this design should agree its not only gorgeous but extremely comfortable. This particular example, circa 2024 features a quartz movement making it perfect for daily wear. This small version is the most elegant in our opinion and works perfectly for average sized wrists.
