The Tank Ceinture was created in 1972 as a part of the Louis Cartier collection. Alongside with 12 other models, including the Baignoire and the Santos Dumont, the Tank Ceinture is all about shape. Some models came in Large and Small sized case. The Ceinture came in PM and LM and there was also an automatic « Jumbo » model, the biggest and the most sought after of the 3. The Jumbo Ceinture is easily recognizable with it’s « bubble » case back, housing a rotor inside.
With a Paris dial, blued hands, this very nice example if fully unpolished and keeping its signature octogonal crown.
