Cartier - Cartier Tank CPCP Basculante ref. 2391

When one delves into neo-vintage Cartier they must always be on the lookout for 4 very special letters: CPCP. The Collection Privé Cartier Paris era dates from to 1998-2008 and was arenaissance period for Cartier. Their CPCP line focussed on producing high quality examples of their most heralded shapes in limited quantities. This particular example is a Tank Basculante numbered 084 of 365 pieces. The watch is cased in solid 18k yellow gold and is powered by a manual wind F. Piguet 610 movement. It features a gorgeous guilloche dial with Paris situated below the Cartier text which indicative of this being a CPCP piece. The watch dates from about 1999-2001 (as seen on the caseback). This is really a special period for Cartier collecting and discerning eyes have began to take notice. The watch comes with its original 18k deployant clasp as well as a Cartier strap. I paired the watch with one of our handmade saddle leather Good Evening straps which I find highlights the vintage DNA in this piece. The watch just completed a full overhaul and is ready to be enjoyed.
