Cartier - Cartier Tank Louis 78086 w/ Paris Dial - *Unpolished*

The Cartier Tank has achieved iconic status in the world of watch design and, with the exception of a few distinctive variations, has maintained a consistent aesthetic throughout its extensive production history. The first commercially available Tank Normale was introduced in 1919, having been inspired by the treads of the French Renault FT-17 tank used in WW1. Throughout the decades, Tank watches have been documented on the wrists of notable figures from Jackie Kennedy to Andy Warhol. Today, Cartier feels more relevant in the worlds of fashion, music and popular culture than ever before.

This Tank Louis, circa 1980s features a "Paris" signed dial. This piece has remained in stunning vintage condition for a Cartier of this era with extremely clean dial preservation and an unpolished case. Great Tank Louis examples have been more difficult to come by as the years pass and we're proud to offer this top example.

Dial: The "Paris" signed dial has remained in remarkable condition with no notable blemishes to the naked eye. There are some hairlines in the enamel finish which are only visible in direct light at extreme angles and this is normal to see in most dials of this era.
Hands: Are matching.
Case: Appears unpolished. All of the markings/hallmarks are still visible. Correct crown.
Bracelet: Two piece leather strap with generic plated buckle.
Crystal: Clear.
Accessories: Genuine Cartier pouch for storage and travel.

The movement is running nicely on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
