Cartier - Cartier Tank Louis 78086 w/ Paris Dial - *Unpolished*

The Cartier Tank has achieved iconic status in the world of watch design and, with the exception of a few distinctive variations, has maintained a consistent aesthetic throughout its extensive production history. The first commercially available Tank Normale was introduced in 1919, having been inspired by the treads of the French Renault FT-17 tank used in WW1. Throughout the decades, Tank watches have been documented on the wrists of notable figures from Jackie Kennedy to Andy Warhol. Today, Cartier feels more relevant in the worlds of fashion, music and popular culture than ever before.

This Tank Louis, circa 1980s features a "Paris" signed dial with hidden signature at 7 o-clock. This piece has remained in stunning vintage condition for a Cartier of this era with a sharp unpolished case and nice looking dial. It comes accompanied with an 18k Cartier deployant buckle and Cartier service pouch for storage and travel. It’s difficult to outdo the charm of a Tank Louis and this piece is a true collector grade example.

Dial: The "Paris" signed dial has remained in fantastic condition overall. There is some very light crazing as seen in most examples of this era but nothing distracting to the naked eye or notable damage under a loupe.
Hands: Are matching.
Case: Fantastic preservation with deep and crisp hallmarks. Light signs of use overall. Correct crown.
Bracelet: 18k Cartier deployant buckle. Two piece grained leather strap in grey.
Crystal: Clear.
Accessories: Genuine Cartier pouch for storage and travel.

The movement is running nicely on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
