Chopard - Chopard L. U. C. 1860 Limited Edition - Full Set - *Unpolished*
Founded in 1860, Chopard is a Swiss watchmaker and perhaps best know for their elegant dress watch designs. The L.U.C. 1860 was produced from 1997 to 2002 as the brands pinnacle model and featured their first in house caliber 1.96. This high-grade and Geneva sealed movement would be the worlds first twin-barrel self-winding movement boasting an impressive 22k gold micro-rotor and power reserve of 65 hours. Scholarship on the model now estimates just 5-600 were produced in yellow gold. In 2023 Chopard would go on to re-release this model with fantastic reception. The modern L.U.C. is arguably one of the best modern dress watches available today making the original neo-vintage models more relevant than ever.
This particular piece is a fantastic collector grade set with mint dial and unpolished case. It comes as a complete set, including box, papers, booklets, two catalogs and 18k Chopard buckle. With a later serial and papers signed in 2003, this is likely one of the last original 1860's to come out of the maison. We believe these pieces are amongst the best wearing precious metal dress watches of this era and couldn't be more thrilled to offer this set to its next custodian.
