A charming & rare Universal Geneve Dato-Compax ref. 22325 dating to 1944. This watch is all original and features a 34mm stainless steel case, luminous Arabic dial and in-house caliber 283 manually wound column wheel chronograph movement. What makes this model special is its date indicator at 12 o’clock with a subtle quick set push button located on the top left side of the case. This function was not commonly found on chronographs in this period and is a testament to Universal’s standing as serious watch manufacturer. This watch appears to have never been polished, the original dial shows warm patina and light spotting, the movement is extremely clean especially for an 80 year old watch.
