The watch is delivered as a complete set with its book-shaped case, travel pouch, certificate of origin and manual.

In 2023, De Bethune unveiled the DB28 XS, an essentially smaller and more wearable version of the DB28.

The case, made of titanium, measures 38.7 mm wide (43.3 mm with hoops) and just 7.4 mm thick, and features the characteristic recessed hoops that allow the watch to sit easily on the wrist.

As with many DB models, the dial is a very important part of the watch and, for the DB28 XS, the dial features a ‘random guilloché’ pattern (which De Bethune says is a world first) and is finished with a series of white gold ‘stars’ that appear to float on the surface. Hence the name Starry Seas.

This type of dial, recognisable and much appreciated, is in line with the DB28 Starry Sky or the DB25 Starry Varius. The watch is also equipped with the DB2005 hand-wound mechanical calibre, which has a 6-day power reserve and numerous innovations patented by De Bethune.
