Every serious collector must own a Type 21. This is a full page of French aviation history. Among the severe specifications requested by the French minister of defense, was of course the very useful « retour en vol » complication.

Dodane’s version was developed in the early 50s and was worn by French pilots until the 70s. This one is a non issued civilian version in very crisp condition. The dial has a very nice Patina and the case seems unpolished with very sharp angles and bevels.

Fun fact, the Dodane Type 21, was mentioned several times in the comics book « Les Chevaliers du ciel ». Those guys were the badass heroes of our childhood.
