ABOUT THE MODEL
The Patek Philippe reference 3855 is distinguished by its atypical case: neither completely octagonal, nor elliptical, nor cushion-shaped, but a blend for a unique result.
Manufactured by the dial maker Singer for Patek Philippe, the brown dial varies depending on the light and features a sunburst finish. This color, very rare for the time, blends perfectly with the yellow gold of the case. The applied indexes and dauphine hands make the time perfectly legible.
This model is equipped with a hand-wound mechanical movement, the caliber 215, which first appeared in 1974 and remains a cornerstone of Patek Philippe's ultra-thin movements and is still used in some models in current production. The caliber 215 was the first to be equipped with the Gyromax, operating at 28,800 beats per hour. This movement is distinguished by its remarkable stability over long periods, making it ideal for everyday use.
