Gerald Genta - Gerald Genta Octo 25th Anniversary
The Gerald Genta brand, founded by the visionary watchmaker himself, is synonymous with avant-garde design and horological innovation. Renowned for creating iconic timepieces like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Patek Philippe Nautilus, Genta’s eponymous brand inherits his legacy of pushing boundaries in watch design.
Each Gerald Genta watch is a fusion of artistic creativity and technical mastery, embodying a distinctive blend of luxury and craftsmanship. With a commitment to limited production and exclusive craftsmanship, Gerald Genta timepieces are cherished by collectors for their rarity, design brilliance, and the enduring legacy of their creator.
This model makes no exception. Produced in 1984 in 25 examples, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brand, it bears some of the most important design elements of Genta’s watches, still with its own stron personality.
The octogonal case shows nices rounded steps on the edges and is typical of the creator’s design language. It also comes with the unique crown, also seen on Gefica or Retro models. The white lacquered dial features circled tritium dots, roman numerals and a small second at 9’, which adds a twist to the whole.
The sapphire caseback allows full view on the beautifully finished movement and especially on the skelettonized rotor, showing a 25 in breguet numbers.
This piece is rare, beautiful and unique in design. A true statement.
