IWC Schaffhausen - Golf Club NOS
Founded in 1868, IWC is a Swiss company founded by Florentine Ariosto Jones, an American watchmaker motivated by the combination of Swiss knowledge and American technology. Today, IWC is recognized as one of the great names in the industry, renowned for its passion, innovative solutions and technical ingenuity.
Since then, IWC has succeeded in becoming one of the world’s top ten brands in the luxury watch segment, creating masterpieces of fine watchmaking, combining high precision and masculine design. It has produced some of the most desirable watches, such as the Portugieser, Portofino, Aquatimer, Ingenieur, De Luxe and pilot’s watches.
Launched in 1978, along with the Yacht Club and the Polo Club, this incredible full steel piece sends us back to an era where IWC was at the peak of creativity and design experimentation. These 3 models having been produced to a total of 1000 examples, this very one is a rarity. Designed by Genta, it still has a distinctive personality, especially because of the wide steel bracelet that gives it a strong presence on the wrist. The black brushed dial and the cushion shape bring the whole a strong cool factor and will make of this piece a bold statement for anyone wearing it.
The watch comes from the stock of a retired watchmaker. It was never worn. It has a very light mark on the bracelet that comes from handling, but otherwise is flawless.
