For sale is a near mintcondition 40mm stainless steel Grand Seiko Hi-Beat GMT “Blue Peacock”. The SBGJ261 was produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces exclusively for the U.S. market. Originally purchased in 2023, it is accompanied by its original box and paper set, and recently returned from factory service, where it received a new crystal. 

The Grand Seiko features a Zaratsu-polished finish steel case with brushed case flanks, and is accented by a smooth polished steel bezel. The Hi-Beat GMT is mounted on its original brushed finish steel bracelet with polished intermediate links and bevels, is secured by a push-button deployant clasp, and contains full links, comfortably fitting up to an 8-inch wrist. The Grand Seiko features a blue “Peacock” dial with an intricate, radiating textured pattern emanating from the center of the dial, reminiscent of a peacock’s feathers, hence the dial’s nickname. The dial contains applied multi-faceted index hour markers, razor-edged hands, and a date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The SBGJ261G is powered by the Grand Seiko Hi-Beat Caliber 9S86, which runs at 36,000vph, with a power reserve of approximately 55 hours, and is proudly displayed through an exhibition caseback. 

Condition: 
The case and bracelet have been preserved exceptionally well and remain unpolished, with the only sign of previous wear being a few faint surface-level hairline scratches. Overall, the Grand Seiko is in near-mint condition, appearing to have seen minimal wrist time from its previous owner.
