Hamilton - Hamilton Chrono-matic "Panda Dial" - *Unpolished*

Hamilton was founded in 1892 in Lancaster, PA and today remains one of the most important watch brands with American roots. Many collectors would consider their military contracts a crucial aspect of their success and relevance having provided "GI" (general issue) models for the U.S. and other countries, notably for the Vietnam and Gulf War.

Arguably one of their most beautiful chronograph configurations is this Chrono-Matic with "Panda" dial. This ref. has some historical significance being one of the first automatic chronographs ever produced with the cal. 11. At the time of its production there was notable competition between Seiko, Zenith, Breitling and Heuer to pull off as self-winding chrono and The Buren group (Breitling, Heuer, Hamilton) even secretly called the initiative "Project 99." This example has remained in stunning vintage condition with a mint dial and unpolished case. For anyone looking for a gorgeous vintage chronograph, this piece has a unique looking yet classic design and wears beautifully on wrist.

Dial: Stunning with no notable blemishes under magnification. All of the tritium lume plots are present and full.
Bezel: Is sharp with no distracting wear.
Hands: Are matching. All of their lume is stable.
Case: Appears completely unpolished with factory finishing still visible. Very light signs of use overall. Correct pushers and signed crown.
Bracelet: Two piece leather strap with contrast in lavender with aqua blue contrast stitching. Crystal: Has some light scratches that could be buffed off. No cracks or chips.
