TAG Heuer - Heuer Autavia Skipper 11063V Yachting Chronograph

This Heuer Autavia Skipper, circa 1970s features a large and beautiful 15 minute regatta timer. The red, white and blue sections are split into 5-minute increments to denote each period that lead up to the start of a race. With a near bomb proof 42mm case, the reference 11063V is a sturdier built variant of the now iconic Skipper model. From the first Carrera cased "Skippererra" to more recent reissues from Tag Heuer, the Skipper has caught the attention of collectors being one of the most playful marine themed watches. This example features a less commonly seen glossy black dial compared to the blue counterparts and is one of the later iterations being in the cushion shaped Autavia case. It remains beautifully preserved with a deep navy faded insert and is ready to be enjoyed for many years to come.

Dial: Very nicely preserved overall with no major blemishes. The plots have taken on a beautiful egg shell color which matches the hands. The 3 and 6 o-clock plots have flaked off but thankfully it isn't distracting based on the others being non-circular. Bezel insert: Has faded to a beautiful deep navy tone. There are some light scuffs which is normal for its age.
Hands: Are matching and all of their tritium lume is stable.
Case: Excellent with with original bevels still visible. It has seen a light polish but remains fairly sharp. No notable dings or dets. Correct pushers and signed crown.
Bracelet: Nicely preserved Camille Fournet grained leather strap in black. All functions of the watch are operating perfectly and no service is recommended.
The movement is running nicely on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
